John-Boy's Place

JOHN-BOY'S PLACE

I lost my husband, John, after a relatively quick two-year battle with ALS. It is a devastating disease that destroys the patient's physical abilities due to muscle and nerve degeneration. It also attacks the health and mental wellness of both patient and family as the days begin to run together.

John began losing his balance, and his falls resulted in several broken bones and chipped teeth. The balance issues continued to get worse and after months of testing, we received the dreaded diagnosis: John had ALS. It would lead to a very difficult death, since there is no cure.

Upon hearing this news, we quickly took as many bucket-list trips as we could. But the quick progression of John's disease halted plans for more trips. In fact, for the last seven months of John’s life, he was confined to one large room in our house. Caring for an ALS patient puts the entire family’s life on hold. The disease not only affects the patient, it envelops the entire family...

Some Easy Ways To Help Our Ministry

Spread the word phrase written with a typewriter.

The Christian Heart ministry tells true stories of everyday people showing their love for Jesus; how they live out their Christian faith.

We want these stories to be seen by as many people as possible. We truly feel these stories can provide inspiration and encouragement to just about anyone that sees them. But Facebook, Instagram and Twitter do not necessarily love Christian sites. A lot of times messages from any Christian site are not shown to very many of their followers. In fact, our stories are only displayed to about 10% of our followers.

We would like to ask for your help in growing our ministry in a grass-roots way.  Would you please help us by:

* Following and liking our stories on your social media platforms

* Sharing these stories with your followers. On Facebook, you could share the story with your followers. On Instagram, you could add our post as your Instagram story. On Twitter, you could retweet it.

* Tell your friends about The Christian Heart ministry.

Our ministry’s mission is to encourage Christians to have a stronger walk with The Lord and put their faith into action; and to show everyone what happens when The Lord enters your life. You can certainly help us do this. We truly thank you for helping us spread the word about The Christian Heart.
