Got Free Milk

GOT 'FREE' MILK

In 2017, my oldest daughter started kindergarten. The school she attends has the highest poverty rate in our district, where 75% of the students receive a free or reduced lunch. So, there is a lot of need.

A month into the school year, I sat down with the principal and asked, "How can we help? What is something you are struggling to cover?" Her instant response was, "We need milk." I didn't totally understand, but she explained. While most of their students get a free or reduced lunch and even breakfast before school, milk during their snack break was not covered by the program. Since most families couldn't afford the additional cost, the majority of kids in the school went without milk during breaks. The principal believed many of those students were getting the bulk of their nutrients at school, so it was vital they get the milk they need while they were there...

Leading Boys With Special Needs

LEADING BOYS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

When something you are passionate about comes to you naturally, that's how you know God's hand is in it.

I have been involved in scouting in some way my entire life. My mom was a troop leader and I was a girl scout, so getting my children involved was a natural decision. I wanted Christian mentoring for my son outside of our regular church activities, and scouting provided it. As a parent, the first years of scouting were spent at my son's troop meetings. Please Tell Just One Person About The Christian Heart

The Christian Heart ministry tells true stories of everyday people showing their love for Jesus; how they live out their Christian faith.

We want these stories to be seen by as many people as possible. We truly feel these stories can provide inspiration and encouragement to just about anyone that sees them. But Facebook, Instagram and Twitter do not necessarily love Christian sites. A lot of times messages from any Christian site are not shown to very many of their followers. In fact, our stories are only displayed to about 10% of our followers.

We would like to ask for your help in growing our ministry in a grass-roots way.  Would you please help us by:

* Following and liking our stories on your social media platforms

* Sharing these stories with your followers. On Facebook, you could share the story with your followers. On Instagram, you could add our post as your Instagram story. On Twitter, you could retweet it.

* Tell your friends about The Christian Heart ministry.

Our ministry’s mission is to encourage Christians to have a stronger walk with The Lord and put their faith into action; and to show everyone what happens when The Lord enters your life. You can certainly help us do this. We truly thank you for helping us spread the word about The Christian Heart.
