Bravely Facing My Heart Issues
I am often known as “the girl who has heart issues”. I have a rare heart condition that led me to have open heart surgery at age 17. Several years later, I had to undergo two more open heart surgeries in just a three-week period. And last year, I was about to undergo a fourth heart procedure, but doctors were concerned about my blood count and discovered that I have leukemia. So, I'm currently in the midst of some very difficult chemotherapy treatments. I believe everyone has struggles and a story to tell. Some may look different than others; my struggles are all medical. What God has allowed to happen in my life is something that I want to share in order to encourage others. I want to help them as they walk through their own difficulties. So, I started to document my challenges in a blog to help encourage others that might be in a similar situation, and to give the glory to God alone...

Encouraging Notes For Your Kids
I've been writing notes on a napkin and putting them in my kids' lunchboxes for years. Some are funny, some are serious. But to me, it's just a way to tell them I love them and to make them smile, think, laugh or blush at the school lunch table. One day, I took a picture of a napkin I thought was clever, and posted it on my Instagram account to share with my buddies. I had no thought of it going viral, but it did. Apparently, it reminded people of things their family used to do to make their day brighter. So I continued to post my napkins each morning and they continued to get very heartwarming reactions. The number of followers kept growing. I came up with a name for them: Napkinisms. Someone at the Chick-fil-A Foundation heard about these napkins. Since they provide free lunches every week to needy kids in the inner city of Atlanta, they asked if I could create a napkin to be placed in each free lunch. A few years later, our local Children's Hospital asked if I could provide one each day for every kid staying in the hospital. So that's what I'm doing...

Please Tell Just One Person About The Christian Heart
The Christian Heart ministry tells true stories of everyday people showing their love for Jesus; how they live out their Christian faith. We want these stories to be seen by as many people as possible. We truly feel these stories can provide inspiration and encouragement to just about anyone that sees them. But Facebook, Instagram and Twitter do not necessarily love Christian sites. A lot of times messages from any Christian site are not shown to very many of their followers. In fact, our stories are only displayed to about 10% of our followers. We would like to ask for your help in growing our ministry in a grass-roots way. Would you please help us by: * Following and liking our stories on your social media platforms * Sharing these stories with your followers. On Facebook, you could share the story with your followers. On Instagram, you could add our post as your Instagram story. On Twitter, you could retweet it. * Tell your friends about The Christian Heart ministry.
Our ministry’s mission is to encourage Christians to have a stronger walk with The Lord and put their faith into action; and to show everyone what happens when The Lord enters your life. You can certainly help us do this. We truly thank you for helping us spread the word about The Christian Heart.
