I Love The Way God Made Me

I’ve had a physical disability my whole life. I was born with Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC), which means a lack of muscle mass. My arms and legs are affected.

But I don’t “see” disability. I don’t dwell on what I can’t do. From early on, I learned to accept my limits, to know challenges will always exist, but they don’t have to be obstacles. I can chase dreams, love life, and embrace the story I am living.

Does it look different? Do I need help to achieve those goals? Yes. That’s part of my normal and I don’t mind welcoming others into my world. We all need...

Random Acts Of Kindness

For the last five years, my 95-year-old mother and I have been helping people throughout our community by doing random acts of kindness. It’s our way of showing our love for Jesus.

We make gift bags for widows, people who are home bound, or just simply living alone. Sometimes we help people in practical ways, like helping a new mom clean her home. We make survival bags filled with snacks, water, clean socks, toothbrushes and deodorant for people in the community or on the streets that have needs.

My mother writes poems and letters and makes phone calls to the older folks in our community to encourage them and let them know they are not alone...

The Christian Heart ministry tells true stories of everyday people showing their love for Jesus; how they live out their Christian faith.

We want these stories to be seen by as many people as possible. We truly feel these stories can provide inspiration and encouragement to just about anyone that sees them. But Facebook, Instagram and Twitter do not necessarily love Christian sites. A lot of times messages from any Christian site are not shown to very many of their followers. In fact, our stories are only displayed to about 10% of our followers.
