Inspiring Stories Of People Living Out Their Christian Faith

Sanctuary In Trauma

SANCTUARY IN TRAUMA

My world blew up nine years ago because a loved one’s secret sin, when exposed, led to his imprisonment. I was suddenly left to provide for and protect my four children. The challenge was enormous as a stay-at-home who had been in ministry for 20-plus years.

I lacked emotional, physical, and spiritual strength as a broken person searching for dignity and solutions in the midst of devastation. While the Lord had been my rock and salvation since childhood, I was shaken to my core.

Christian friends and family carried me through the darkest of days, as well as a complete stranger who reached out after having endured trauma. God placed believers in my life who challenged me to seek and know truth. And yet, I wondered why my story had been radically rewritten. How could God destroy every aspect of my life that had given me purpose and joy? The answer became clear as I shared with others how my difficult journey would be worthwhile if God could use it for His glory. That longing evolved into a calling to be the hands and feet of Jesus for those enduring life-altering crises....

The Comfort Dogs

THE COMFORT DOGS

If you have seen comfort dogs on site at crisis situations, then you've probably seen a member of the LCC K-9 Comfort Dog ministry team---a network of volunteers and dogs working together to bring compassion where it is needed. This powerful ministry officially began in 2008, but God was working on it even before it became "official."

When Hurricane Katrina hit, the LCC Disaster Response Team set up a disaster triage. The team was asked to perform search and rescue for people with animals as many people were refusing to leave their flooding homes without their pets. The team saw firsthand the power of a pet to someone going through a crisis. Help Spread The Word About The Christian Heart

Spread the word phrase written with a typewriter.

The Christian Heart ministry tells true stories of everyday people showing their love for Jesus; how they live out their Christian faith.

We want these stories to be seen by as many people as possible. We truly feel these stories can provide inspiration and encouragement to just about anyone that sees them. But Facebook, Instagram and Twitter do not necessarily love Christian sites. A lot of times messages from any Christian site are not shown to very many of their followers. In fact, our stories are only displayed to about 10% of our followers.

We would like to ask for your help in growing our ministry in a grass-roots way.  Would you please help us by:

* Following and liking our stories on your social media platforms

* Sharing these stories with your followers. On Facebook, you could share the story with your followers. On Instagram, you could add our post as your Instagram story. On Twitter, you could retweet it.

* Tell your friends about The Christian Heart ministry.

Our ministry’s mission is to encourage Christians to have a stronger walk with The Lord and put their faith into action; and to show everyone what happens when The Lord enters your life. You can certainly help us do this. We truly thank you for helping us spread the word about The Christian Heart.
