I was looking for a way to help our local community. I absolutely love helping people because that's how I came to know the love of Christ. I was at a low point in life and some Christians reached out with kindness. Their generosity was so surprising that it led me to give my heart to Jesus. I'm so thankful for them and that's why I am always looking for ways to help others. Since I work, I couldn't be at our church's food bank distribution time. That is my absolute favorite ministry, but the time just doesn't work with my schedule. I sat down with my pastor and complained about having to work and not being able to help others as much as I'd like. He told me the food bank was running out of food and there wasn't a lot of money to buy more. After brainstorming a bit, we came up with an idea: use part of our empty field to grow fresh food.
