Changing Life's Path For Kids

As a kid who lived on the streets of Uganda for almost five years, I know what it feels like to grow up in a world where love, caring, and kindness are nowhere to be found. But I was helped by the kindness of a stranger who brought me to the Lord. And wanting to change life’s path for kids that have been neglected, I have now fostered 47 children and adopted 6 kids, all as a single dad. I had a very abusive father; so abusive that I thought he would eventually kill me. This led me to run away from home at age 10, and I lived on the streets of Kampala for nearly five years. To the outside world, my dad was extremely religious. So for him to be so abusive was very confusing to me, and turned me off to all religion. It also created a lot of anger in me toward my dad....

Bless-N-Basket

I remember a time when family not only meant that which you were born into, but also the people around us who we "do life" with. God is the greatest advocate for community, and I do not believe it is by chance that we find unity there. Bless-N-Basket was birthed from the very idea of putting unity back into community, and loving on our neighbors as Christ commanded. What was supposed to be a small get together for women in the living room of our home soon became a call to start a complete food pantry. The very first meeting in July 2018 brought 15 to 20 women together in our little living room in Lincoln, Alabama. We had a time of devotion and prayer, and afterwards, each lady left with a box or two of food for their own family or friends....
